Der gestrige Tag stand im Zeichen des Flipped Classroom. Karsten Morisse von der Universität Osnabrück stelle im Spotlight Lehre kurz vor, wie er das Konzept bereits seit mehreren Jahren einsetzt. Von seinen Erfahrungen konnten alle Anwesenden in der anschließenden Diskussionsrunde profitieren. Die Fragen bewegten sich dabei im Rahmen dessen, was häufig gefragt wird:
- Was mache ich denn in der Präsenzphase mit meinen 150 Studierenden?
- Was mache ich denn, wenn sich Studierende nicht vorbereiten?
- Hat das denn nicht Auswirkung auf die Anwesenheit?
- …
Wer bereits konkreter mit dem Gedanken spielte, den Flipped Classroom in seine Veranstaltungen einziehen zu lassen, konnte den Tag zusätzlich mit einem zweistündigen Workshop abrunden. Ideen für die Präsenzphase gab es bereits, unter anderem Studierende in Seminaren Lehraufgaben übernehmen zu lassen (vgl. Lernen durch Lehren bzw. LdL), Selbständiges Üben zu begleiten oder gezielter und vorbereitet auf Verständnisprobleme einzugehen (vgl. Just-in-Time Teaching). Als Hindernisse auf dem Weg stach zum einen der „Klassiker“ Zeit hervor. Hier muss aber letztlich jede/r für sich selbst priorisieren. Zum anderen wäre es wohl schon sehr hilfreich, sich ein geeignetes Tablet ausleihen zu können, um im Stile von Jörn Loviscach mit dem „Aufzeichnen von Anschrieben“ zu experimentieren (wie unten im Video zu sehen). Unser Referent für Medienbildung klärt bereits, ob und wie das ermöglicht werden kann.
Auch für die Basisqualifizierung könnte der Flipped Classroom sehr interessant sein. Im „Ausflug in die Welt der digitalen Medien“ wurde er bereits genutzt, aber da ist der Name gewissermaßen Programm. Ein Einsatzfeld wäre beispielsweise die Methodenwerkstatt. Warum nicht 20-minütige Videos erstellen, in denen Methoden kurz vorgestellt und gleich live im Hörsaal gezeigt werden? Hat beim Aktiven Plenum ja auch funktioniert und ist anschaulicher als jeder Text. Uns böte ein entsprechendes Angebot etwa die Möglichkeit, die Präsenzzeit für Fragen der Umsetzung in bestimmten Fächern zu nutzen. Darüber hinaus könnten sich unsere TeilnehmerInnen bereits im Vorfeld mit Methoden auseinandersetzen und abstimmen, was sie im Workshop vertiefen möchten und was nicht. Und außerdem könnten sich so auch andere interessierte unverbindlich ein Bild von verschiedenen Lehrmethoden machen, beispielsweise in unserem Methodenpool. Neu ist die Idee eigentlich nicht…
